Lowe's Needs to Wake Up Because Home Depot is Asleep

According to the New York Times Home Depot is having troubles with day workers hanging out in front of their stores. Some arrests have been made. It seems that the day workers think that the parking lot of Home Depot is the best place to hang out in order to find work.

I think that the marketing people at both Home Depot and Lowe’s are asleep at the wheel. There is opportunity beckoning here. Give these guys a tent and some coffee and donuts and help them establish references so that the whole thing can be turned into a benefit for the customers who need day workers. In fact, I think I’ll look into setting up a website and see if I can get kiosks set up in the parking lots. Somebody should make some money here.
